We need your help to Keep Science Wild! When you become a Kestrel donor, your gift directly supports our mission to inspire wonder, understanding and connection to the natural world through playful, outdoor, scientific inquiry.
Note: Givebutter allows you to donate and cover the cost of the credit card fee, at no cost to us. They do ask you for a % tip to help support their work. You can change the amount of the tip, or offer no tip at all.
Today, research confirms what used to be common sense – that regular time spent in the company of nature leads to healthier, happier kids. It plays a role in boosting student achievement back in the classroom. It inspires the career paths of future scientists. And it provides a basis for the kind of environmental ethos we so desperately need in the 21st century. Your contribution makes it possible for kids in Eastern Essex County to get outside and learn natural science through direct experience and connection with the natural world.
Kestrel's dedicated staff of naturalists guided over 2,000 students on the North Shore last year on nature-science adventures that inspired joy, wonder and connection to the natural world. For the vast majority of those children, those experiences were free — their schools received grants that Kestrel administered, wrote and tracked; Kestrel engaged in fundraising in order to pay our instructors and purchase materials. However, Kestrel is reeling with the changing grants landscape and we need your help. Together, we can choose to raise children who still have the opportunity to explore and appreciate our natural world with thoughtful mentoring of nature science projects. Together, we can sustain sustainability itself.
Kestrel (EIN 06-1703921) is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation is tax-deductible.
